Calzedonia Expands Its Portfolio with the Acquisition of Cantiere del Pardo, Leading Luxury Yacht Manufacturer

Pardo Yachts becomes a Calzedonia Group’s asset.

Calzedonia, the group founded by Sandro Veronesi, is set to further enrich its portfolio with the acquisition of Cantiere del Pardo, a renowned company specializing in the production of luxury sail and motor yachts.

The binding agreement, signed with Wise Equity, stipulates that the long-standing managers, Fabio Planamente and Gigi Servidati, will retain a minority stake in the company, ensuring shared visions for development and the opportunity to bring valuable expertise in the industrial, organizational, and distribution sectors.

Established in 1973, Cantiere del Pardo boasts a history of remarkable achievements and international acclaim, having launched over 5,000 vessels under the brands Grand Soleil, Pardo Yachts, and VanDutch. The entry of Wise Equity as an investor in 2020 has significantly boosted both revenues and corporate structuring, particularly due to the success of the Pardo Yachts motorboat line, which has witnessed substantial growth since its debut in 2017, projecting sales of over 150 yachts in the last year.

With the integration of the Calzedonia group, Cantiere del Pardo aims to strengthen its global presence and develop new models, maintaining an unwavering focus on quality and excellence of service for its distribution network and end customers. The company will continue to invest in sustainability, innovation, and research and development, leveraging its advanced production sites.

Sandro Veronesi, founder and president of the Calzedonia group, enthusiastically commented on the acquisition: “Over the years, Calzedonia has consistently demonstrated its ability to grow, evolving from a company solely focused on one product to a group active in many markets and with multiple brands. Alongside long-established successes such as Calzedonia, Intimissimi, and Tezenis, we have recently added achievements like Intimissimi Uomo, Falconeri, Signorvino, and Atelier Emè. Now, we face new challenges with Antonio Marras and Cantiere del Pardo. What unites us is a quintessentially Italian passion for the product, coupled with substantial investments in production, distribution, and communication.”
